Finally got to go to the night market this summer and I am glad we went to the last OC night market instead of the ones during the summer when it was super hot! The weather was perfect it was sunny but cool with a nice breeze. We didn’t get to try that many things because we got full quick but we still had fun.
The things we tried.
Takoyaki; It is good I love the original but have you guys tried the fried ones from sushi restaurants?! Bomb!
Cookie milk shot; they have other cookies and different kinds of milk to fill up the shot
Chicken Katsu sandwich, it was ok the chicken was good but I was not a fan of their curry.
Potato balls it was good can't go wrong with potato balls
Giant fried squid it was so good the batter tasted amazing with nice size pieces of squid
$20 for 3 light bulb drink. Of course you are pretty much paying for the light bulb but still, that is a little bit ridicules especially when there isn't much drink in it. I’m sure he rounded up instead of the exact price unless they charged tax and or their price was $6.66. Not all places charge tax only certain vendors.
Boyfriend got this I was full and didn't want to try it wasn't feeling like having eel.
We also got meat sticks from a Korean vendor which I forgot to take a picture of. But honestly it wasn't that great the beef was cut into huge chunks which made it hard to bite off the stick and chew. Way too tough. The pork was all fatty I did not enjoy it. The last night market is this past memorial weekend in the 626 area. I haven't been to the original 626 night market yet but would love to try and go next summer. It's a fun experience trying different foods although it can get a little expensive.
